Lucas Oil Cup Final at Llangefni Town FC
Caergybi 0 Bryngwran 0 AET (3-1 Penalties)

Caergybi celebrated their second trophy triumph of the season as they beat Bryngwran Bulls 3-1 on penalties in the Lucas Oil Cup Final at Llangefni.

The match stood at 0-0 after extra time, so spot-kicks were needed to decide the winner and Dale Moffat’s side held their nerve the better.

Friday 19 April 2019

Dargie Cup Final at Bangor City FC
Caergbyi 2 Bryngwran 1

Goal scorers:
Justin Williams
James Ryan

Caergybi are this year’s winners of the Anglesey League’s prestigious Lucas Oil Dargie Cup after beating Bryngwran Bulls 2-1 in the final on Friday night.

Dale Moffat’s side battled hard to claim the trophy – their second since forming as a club in the summer of 2017. They claimed the Megan Cup against Bryngwran last season, with a 3-2 victory.

On Friday night, Justin Williams opened the scoring for Caergybi to put them in charge of the game before James Ryan returned to haunt his former club (who he hit 54 goals for last season), by bagging his 72nd of the 2018/19 camapign. A late strike from Gwynfor Owen was not enough to help The Bulls fight their way back into the game as Cybi went on to be crowned champions of the “cup that everyone wants to win”.

We continued in this game where we left off last week and got our first goal after 4 mins when our playmaker Dave Webb got hold of the ball and played a fantastic through ball for Ian Williams to latch onto and place into the bottom corner.
it didn’t take long for us to get our second with Marcus bell turning the provider this time with a lofted ball over the top and our prolific striker James Ryan got his first of the afternoon 2-0 7minutes played.
Some great play yet again from Dave Webb scene him skip past a few players before playing it back to James Ryan who hit one in from 20 yards out into the far corner 3-0 18 minutes played.
2minutes later James Ryan completed his hat-trick when his strike partner found him in the box to make it 4-0
Our fifth goal was something Barcelona would of been proud of with some fantastic play all the players knocking it around in triangles working our way through the pitch and Dave Webb getting down the right hand side and cutting it back for his third assist and James Ryan slotting it in 5-0 31 minutes played.

Halftime

The second half seen us knocking the ball around and just completely dominating and then it was time for Ian to get in on the act and he didn’t so in some style.
51 minutes Ian Williams got his second when a scramble in the box fell to him and he smashed it home to get his second of the day 6-0.
60 minutes Ian completed his hat-trick when his corner missed everyone and went straight into the back of the net. 7-0 The game then went a-bit stale and we were staying back keeping possession and not pushing forward on came the three subs Carl Lewis coming on for Kieran weeks, Nath Irish for Casey Williams and Mason Hughes for Glenn North
Straight away percy was called into action when former player Byron Jones hit a rocket form 30 yards and Carl Lewis with a great diving save tipped it over.
78 minutes and Ian got his 4th of the game with some good play from the right hand side and Ian smashed it in 8-0 80 minutes Ian got his 5th when our left back Ashley Beck went on one of his runs down the wing and played in Ian to make it 9-0
88 minutes and it was Ian who was the provider when he cut inside llandegfans defence and played in James Ryan to get his 5th of the day 10-0
90 minutes and Dave Webb got his 4th assist with a defence cutting through ball to James Ryan to get his double hat-trick 11-0
90 minutes and Nath Irish ☘️ continued on from his debut goal last week and made it 2 in 2 when Dave Webb played him in to get his 5th assist and nath with a beautiful chip over the llandegfan keeper finished the scoring 12-0

Great from the lads

Next week sees us travel in the carboot semi final away to Bryngwran

Credit due to Arron Fon Evans and his lads they show so much commitment and hard work and I’m sure the win is just around the corner for them.

Great game from the lads after having suffered 2 defeats lately was good to get back to winning ways and doing it in some style.

We came out of the blocks quickly and got our first goal after 10 mins some great play from GJO down the right and crossing for James Ryan to score, 5 mins later GJO got himself on the scoresheet in his first game after returning to the club, after a great ball from Dave Webb played him in, unfortunately his second debut was short lived as he had to come off after 20 mins. James Ryan made it 3-0 with a great finish across the goal from the left side

Second half:
Seen us continue from the first and James Ryan completed his hat-trick with a close range finish.
Few minutes later George Hibbert got in on the act with a long range effort going over the keeper.
Sub Liam Williams off and Nath Irish on for his debut with the club and he didn’t take long to get a chance missing with a header just over the bar. But he got himself on the score sheet soon after, some great play from Ash Beck put him in and and a great finish into the far corner.
The final goal came with George getting his second with an identical finish to his first.

Great play from the lads controlling the game from start to finish
Well done lads
